Igor Stovpets, the head of the consultation line 1C-Rarus
This terminal is unique. There are solutions UPOS, but this device is of another class. As it is a full-fledged computer, which limitations may be? Ports and connectors there is everything you need. And the main advantage – in a such compact is Windows.
I think that this terminal can be regarded as a standard for devices of tomorrow.
Zarzhetsky Alexander, the head of retail trade automation department , 1C-Rarus
I saw something similar at the exhibition. But you did it perfectly. After all, the only thing that should stand on the table it’s this keyboard. From it you will not get rid. In my opinion, this is the right thing, which could be come up with - to integrate the computer into a keyboard.
Sergei Skorikin, the head of the department ZAO "Computer-cash Systems
We installed Windows XP Profesional and experienced the work of two programs: ARM 1.04 cash unit, that works with text files and cash workstation 2.0 is a more "difficult" decision, but it also provides the opportunities much more. LPOS PC-FP64 coped brilliantly with ARM 2, not mention about the workstation 1.
This terminal is the de facto standard for modern ARMs. We can say this device of tomorrow satisfies all modern requirements.
Sergei Shatilov, Sales LLC SOFT MARKET " trade specialist.
Software set up "Market +" scored well with this terminal: good configuration, is created with a look into the future. It has good headroom, more than enough for cash problems.
A very important factor –the compact of device. A sufficient number s of ports, the optimal numbers of keys. It is convenient that it can be easily reprogrammed can be used different software and operating systems.

Frequently Asked Questions about terminals LPOS-PC64 |
Question: What devices can be used as bootable? Since usb in the BIOS as the boot is not visible, the external CD-drives are too.
Answer: The terminal must be properly loaded from an external USB drives that have been tested and USB flash drives and external USB CD drives the terminal loaded normally.
To load the terminal with an external USB drive must in the BIOS setup menu "Boot" as the first boot device to be selected "USB CDROM Drive" (for flash - "USB Hard Drive"), as the second - "IDE 0/Pri Master", also to set the option "Initialization Policy - All Devices"
We used the program flashboot to prepare Flash-drive as a boot disk.
Question: When using the terminal, the temperatures of the processor are elevated . Is this critical for correct operation of the terminal?
Answer: The terminal uses passive cooling of the processor. Because of the lack of fan CPU temperature rises slightly, but is stays in permissible limits.
If you want to lower the temperature, you can reduce the frequency of the processor work and / or the frequency of memory bus settings BIOS (default is the maximum frequency of 500 MHz). For example to set
- Core CPU frequency 400MHz
- Memory frequency 333MHz
Frequency settings are in the menu Chipset in the BIOS.
We should also mention that the software control bus speeds can be solved by the shift of the jumper on the motherboard (for details on jumper is indicated in the user manual of the terminal).
Question: In the terminal LPOS-PC64 when using multiple devices with RS232 interface for Windows XP is an interruption IRQ conflict. How to solve this problem?
Answer: Due to the fact that two of the three COM-port terminal have the same interrupt IRQ, this has led to conflict of interrupts in the OS and user software.
To solve this problem, make the following changes to the IRQ setting in BIOS Setup (section SIO):
LPT1 IRQ5
COM1 IRQ4
COM2 IRQ7
COM3 IRQ3
Question: When connected to the COM1 or to the COM2 stub data sent to the plug will not be returned back to the terminal. How to solve this problem?
Answer: ICs (transceiver) RS232 ports COM1 and COM2 have a power saving feature.
If the external device is connected, its transmitter generates a positive or a negative signal (at least + 3 v/-3V). If this is not observed at the entrances Rx terminal COM-ports, is suggested that the external device is not connected and the COM port terminal is turned off.
For this reason, testing a COM-port plug, the terminal is not transmitting data, because the port is in a sleep mode.
Question: I get from you 11 pieces. LPOS PC-FP64. One does not turn on what to do? Pressing the power button once blink all the LEDs on the keyboard and nothing else happens.
Answer: Perhaps there was a bias reset button. Please look visually whether bias is not clamped on your keyboard? Also, repeatedly press the button «reset».
Question: Do you have any information about installing Linux on LPOS PC-064?
Answer: We have installed a terminal OS Linux Fedora 9. Problems with the work of the terminal under this OS are not observed.
Question: We want to know about the features of the DOS on LPOS PC-064 work.
Answer: In general, if the program runs in DOS using only the base memory (640Kb), problems in the DOS were not observed. There are problems when you use a memory extender program EMM386. If you still need to use upper memory (UMBs), as a program-memory extender you need to use the driver UMBPCI - can be downloaded from our website.
Also there are problems with language keyrus.ocm. Patched under our terminal crack can also be downloaded from our site.
Question: Does the OS Windows98 in LPOS PC-064 work?
Answer: In general, the OS is working correctly, but there are problems installing VGA driver module.
Question: We would like to install our software based on Windows XP Embeded POS Ready 2009 on your LPOS PC-064. Is there any pitfalls?
Answer: We have a terminal LPOS PC-064 on which has been installed the OS Windows XP Embeded POSReady 2009. Installation was performed from an external USB DVD drive. The errors during installation were not detected.
On the OS has been installed the necessary drivers:
- video driver - OK
- crypto driyver - OK
- audio driver - with the installation requires the installation disk - OK
The program MPOS-Master was established normal. To work with PS / 2 equipment, MPOSMaster establishes its PS/2 driver. When installing the PS/2 driver, the OS asks for the file "i8042prt.sys". If this file is taken from the installation disk Windows XP Embeded, then after restarting the OS stop working PS/2 devices. This problem is solved by substituting the file "i8042prt.sys" from another computer that is running Windows XP SP2. After replacing the file, PS/2 devices are working properly.
Question: How do I make programming and configuring the keyboard, the magnetic card reader and the fingerprint scanner on the terminal with established Linux or DOS? After the program MPOS-Master runs on Windows only?
Answer: Yes, indeed, directly into the OS other than Windows, you can not use the program MPOS-Master. For such cases, we have developed the following solution:
You need to download the image bootable USB drive, which contains a downloadable directly from the USB device and Windows preinstalled programs MPOS-Master Driver PS / 2;
to record the image on the memory stick 512 MB;
to load terminal with flash. Boot up Windows XP. Thus the data on your hard drive will not be affected;
to run the preset program MPOS-Master. You may have to reconnect "to the hot» PS / 2 mouse, if it will not work;
to program the keyboard.

Fingerprint installed only on the model of the terminal LPOS-PC64-FP |
In the terminal LPOS-PC64-FP it is used an integrated keyboard with a PS/2.Interface Since the fingerprint is integrated into the scheme of the keyboard, the interaction between the software with a fingerprint scanner on the PS/2 occurs through a special library, which is supplied by POSUA company on request. In these types of keyboards are used scanners TCEBB with integrated 32-bit ARM-processor for the implementation of algorithms for fingerprint comparison with template directly inside the scanner and with integrated memory for storing fingerprint templates. Scanner in the keyboard with PS/2 interface can operate in two modes: "secure" and "transparent." In a "secure" mode, reading print and its comparison with the pattern is made by means of in built scanner ARM-processor. By PS/2 interface in the computer it is send a result of the comparison: "yes" or "no" only . In the "transparent" mode, print is scanned and sent to the computer for processing by the special library. There are libraries for Windows and Linux. The benefits of "protected" mode of the scanner can be attributed to the unpretentious of OS, in which a keyboard works . To operate the scanner in this mode you does not need libraries. The disadvantages include: low speed of comparison of the fingerprint with template and, consequently, limited (not more 20) the number of templates stored in the memory of the scanner for comparison.
